About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Driver to join our team at Aquarium Depot. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, as well as operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and Pick Up Items: Safely transport and deliver items to customers, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Operate Vehicles: Drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver items, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Offer professional and courteous service to customers, responding to their needs and concerns.
  • Manage Inventory: Keep track of items received and delivered, ensuring accurate records and minimizing errors.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from vehicles, handling heavy loads with care.
  • Follow Directions: Use maps and other trip planning aids to navigate routes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Record Trip Information: Document vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues encountered during trips.
  • Handle Payments: Accept payments or invoices for delivered items, maintaining accurate records.
Requirements
  • Transportation/Travel Experience: Local transportation experience is required.
  • Security and Safety: A criminal record check is required.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and work under pressure.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent communication skills, reliability, and a team player attitude.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week. The language of work is English.
