Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining our fleet of trucks, safely transporting goods across Canada. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with dispatchers to coordinate routes, monitor cargo, and ensure timely deliveries.

Responsibilities
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy to transport goods and materials
  • Loading and unloading goods in a safe and efficient manner
  • Operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversight of vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Performing pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle integrity
  • Maintenance of vehicles to prevent mechanical issues and ensure optimal performance
  • Receiving and relaying information to central dispatch for seamless coordination
  • Recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption for accurate reporting
Credentials

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A valid Class 1 or A Driver's License
  • Demonstrated experience in long-haul trucking, preferably with knowledge of trans-border documentation and inspection reports
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and trip recorders
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with dispatchers and colleagues
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
