About the Role

BBA Consultants is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a High Voltage Specialist. In this role, you will provide substation engineering capabilities to support wind, solar, and energy storage projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project scope and equipment specifications.
  • Review other project engineering deliverables and provide technical reviews to advise clients.
  • Day-to-day execution of technical and strategic mandates based on areas of expertise and in coordination with BBA's internal disciplines.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders in the renewable energy and electricity sector.
  • Review bid opportunities and provide estimates and proposals.
  • Support proposal preparation through creative thinking and alternative approaches.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree from a recognized university and registered as a Professional Engineer in Canada with electrical discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant power sector/electricity industry experience, including a minimum of 2 years of wind, solar, and/or battery energy project development, project execution, and/or operations experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Able to travel to domestic, USA, and international destinations for site visits and/or assignments.
