Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Household Assistant to join our team at Josefina Swolfs. As a key member of our household staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our home, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds, and change sheets.
  • Household Management: Distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closets, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, handle and report lost and found items, pick up debris, and empty trash containers.
  • Laundry and Alterations: Launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Additional Tasks: Wash windows, walls, and ceilings, clean changing rooms and showers.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Willing to train.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking.
  • Work Setting: Work in employer's/client's home.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work independently, work under pressure, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
