About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at Shady Tree Neighbourhood Pub. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized environment, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, ensuring they are clean and sanitized.
  • Load and unload dishwashers, as well as wash and sanitize items by hand.
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, and restock supplies as needed.
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products, and receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sharpen kitchen knives as needed.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit for preparation.
Requirements
  • Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and stand for long periods.
