GFL Environmental is a leading provider of waste management and environmental services across North America. As a Red Seal/Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of heavy duty equipment.
The ideal candidate will have 1+ year experience as a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic, with a strong understanding of diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated trucks. They will be proficient in using various power tools, hand instruments, and cutting-edge equipment to complete daily reports, work orders, and ordering necessary parts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintenance or repairs of heavy duty equipment
- Planning and scheduling repairs in M5 planner and procure parts
- Assisting in the review of mechanical write-ups and coordinate repair schedule
In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a willingness to operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform the job. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, with a technical diploma desired.
