Ranch Ehrlo Society is seeking a dedicated Youth Care Worker/Personal Support Worker to join our team

We are a dynamic organization that provides care and support to children, youth, and adults with complex needs. As a Youth Care Worker/Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and structured living environment for our participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate support to individuals with complex needs, fostering a safe and nurturing environment where they feel valued and supported.
  • Develop and implement engaging activity plans that encourage participation and promote socialization.
  • Collaborate with clinical professionals and unit managers to share insights and contribute to treatment plans and goal setting.
  • Teach essential life skills, such as self-care, cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and building positive social connections.
  • Resolve conflicts with empathy and use behavior management strategies to guide participants through challenges.
  • Complete documentation and reports with accuracy and clarity, ensuring all agency standards are met.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; certificate, diploma, or degree in Child and Youth Care (CYC) or a related field is an asset.
  • At least one year of experience working with children, youth, and/or adults with behavioral, cognitive, mental health, or developmental challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of behavior management and support strategies.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to leverage them in daily tasks.
