Bakery Labourer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Labourer to join our team at Sabwa Foods Product and Packaging Inc. in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure food safety and handling practices are followed at all times.
  • Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Remove filled containers from conveyors and manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers.
  • Feed and unload processing machines, and check products and packaging for basic quality defects.
  • Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties, and clean machines and immediate work areas.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment an asset.
  • Ability to work in a cold/refrigerated environment, and stand for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical demands include bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
