Top Aces is a leading aerospace and defense company seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our Technical Services department, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to our operations team.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with Technical Services and Finance to ensure accurate operational cost and capital expenditure management.
- Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts for the Technical Services department.
- Review and analyze financial results, identifying areas for improvement and providing insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Business Unit to ensure alignment with financial targets and objectives.
- Establish and monitor financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive business strategy.
- Support month-end close processes and prepare financial presentations for the Business Unit.
- Represent the VP/CFO in business matters, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Continuously improve work processes, precision, and alignment with CFO goals.
- Ensure linkages between budget, actual costs, and estimates for business development activities.
- Assist in reviewing financial information for business cases and multi-year capital projects.
- Support operational teams to inform business decisions and accelerate profitability.
- Post-graduate education in accounting, CPA, CMA, or cost accounting background.
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in a similar role, senior financial analyst/manager.
- Experience in overseeing budget and forecast preparation.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Detailed-oriented with high professionalism and business acumen.
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and provide recommendations based on financial analysis.
- Sold work ethic, results-oriented, and ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
- Proven ability to work cooperatively within a team environment.
- Sound judgment and high standard of ethics required.
- Highly proficient in MS Excel.
- Experience with aviation ERP and Oracle EPM an asset.
Position requires II Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
