About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Drive Systems and Power to join our team at Arbutus Search Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our drive systems and power team, overseeing budget preparation, reporting, and resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the drive systems and power team, setting quality standards and delivering technical training.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team to provide expert technical advice on drives and power systems.
  • Develop procedures and standards to ensure a high level of drive servicing, commissioning, and startup.
  • Prepare quotations and proposals for drive systems and power services.
  • Supervise, direct, and motivate team members, monitoring their performance against department and company goals.
  • Ensure team members are complying with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7 years of recent progressive experience with medium and low voltage drives, motor control centers, soft starters, and electrical power devices.
  • 5+ years of management experience or equivalent in team and project supervision.
  • 2+ years of sales experience in heavy industries such as ports and terminals preferred.
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation abilities.

Compensation: $115-$125k + 12k bonus
