Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Colas Western Canada Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment, including on-road and off-road vehicles, construction tools, and asphalt/concrete plants.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Perform equipment repairs and preventive maintenance in a timely and safe manner.

· Assist in completing maintenance inspections and ensure all work is properly documented.

· Assess and record equipment deficiencies, and report any issues to management.

· Support mobile work crews and business functions in various tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

· Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic.

· Strong technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude to perform service on various equipment.

· Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

· Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, and hydrostatic systems.

· Attention to detail and ability to multitask.

· Team player with a common goal-oriented mindset.

Requirements

· Must be able to work according to all company safety policies and procedures.

· Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.

· Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol policy, including pre-employment testing requirements.

· Must comply with all company policies.

· Valid driver's license, heavy trailer endorsement, or airbrakes considered an asset.
