Qualifications and Requirements

**Education and Training:**

We are seeking a licensed pharmacist or one eligible for licensing by the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia. A completion of an accredited pharmacy residency and three years of recent pharmacy practice experience, including community-based practice, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required.

Key Skills and Abilities
  • **Clinical Expertise:**
    • Ability to identify and resolve drug therapy problems for elderly and palliative clients.
    • Ability to apply clinical knowledge and evidence-based decision-making.
  • **Interpersonal and Communication Skills:**
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with healthcare practitioners and care providers, as well as clients, family members, volunteers, and the public.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • **Professional Competencies:**
    • Ability to be self-directed, organized, to prioritize workload and consistently complete tasks with accuracy, precision, and dependability.
    • Ability to teach.
    • Ability to be flexible and adapt pharmacy practice to a variety of community settings.
    • Ability to physically carry out the duties of the position.
    • Valid BC driver's license.
