About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and caring Home Childcare Provider to join our team at Shannon Marlow. As a key member of our childcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a home-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required, and we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Work Setting: This is a live-in position, and optional accommodation is available at no charge. Please note that this is not a condition of employment.
  • Childcare Duties:
    • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
    • Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
    • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
    • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, helping them to grow and thrive.
    • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account dietary needs and preferences.
    • Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and happiness.
    • Cook and prepare meals for the family, using fresh and healthy ingredients.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Transport children to and from activities and appointments, as needed.
    • Participate in household chores and tasks, contributing to the smooth operation of the household.
    • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, keeping them informed of their child's daily activities and progress.
    Requirements
    • Language: English or French is required, and proficiency in both languages is an asset.
    • Travel: Travel expenses will be paid by the employer, and the candidate must be willing to travel as needed.
    • Weight Handling: The candidate must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs), as required by the job.
    • Work Term: This is a temporary position, and the candidate must be available to work on a flexible schedule.
