About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Cafe 4 U. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation, heating, and finishing of simple food items, including portioning and wrapping foods.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Garbage and Trash Removal: Remove kitchen garbage and trash in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Housekeeping: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Vegetable and Fruit Preparation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not necessary. We are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of our cafe.
