Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and caring Home Childcare Assistant to join our team at Leo West, Andrea Dann. As a Home Childcare Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare in a home setting, ensuring the physical, emotional, and social well-being of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, promoting their emotional and social growth.
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children, encouraging their physical and cognitive development.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring children receive a balanced diet.
  • Supervise and care for children, providing a nurturing and supportive environment.
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, supporting their social and labour market integration.

Requirements:

  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required, but experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform light housekeeping and childcare duties.

Work Setting: This position is based in the employer's home, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Work Language: English

Hours: 40 hours per week
