Job Description

We are currently seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a part-time capacity. As a Registered Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of prepared medication, maintaining product quality, and adhering to legal compliance. This includes checking prescriptions, performing weekly strip packaged medications, and accurately counting and reconciling Narcotic and Controlled medications.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Maintaining an organized workflow and ensuring delivery routes depart on schedule;
  • Protecting patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with regulations;
  • Staying current with and aligning with legal requirements, professional standards, and workplace policies and procedures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A valid license and registration with the College of Pharmacists as a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) in good standing;
  • Liability insurance to legally practice as a RPhT;
  • A minimum of 1 year of continuous working experience in a pharmacy environment (Long Term Care, Hospital, or Retail);
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and customer service skills, organizational and multitasking skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with minimal supervision;
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
