Job Summary

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled psychiatrist to join our team in Surrey, British Columbia. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to patients in crisis, working collaboratively with healthcare providers to deliver timely and effective treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultations to patients in crisis, utilizing a crisis management approach to connect them with necessary services and support.
  • Collaborate with the Substance Access Team to provide OAT starts and clinical support to individuals with significant mental health and substance use issues.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, responding to urgent care needs and providing expert psychiatric care to patients in crisis.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring 24/7 coverage for our patients.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in adult psychiatry.
  • Additional training in tertiary psychiatry is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with physicians, staff, and community partners.
  • Eligible for Medical Licensure in the province of BC.
  • CMPA coverage.
  • FRCPC (eligible).
Compensation

Fraser Health Authority offers a competitive compensation package, including a combination of Fee for Service and Alternative Payment Plan sessions. Remuneration for the Urgent Care Centre component will be discussed at the time of the interview.
