About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC. As a member of our integrated surgical team, you will provide practical nursing services in an operating room environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide scrubbing and circulating duties in accordance with established standards and protocols.
  • Consult and collaborate with other members of the surgical team to facilitate safe and effective surgical interventions.
  • Participate in pre-operative, operative, and post-operative activities, including assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting client care.
About the Location

Royal Inland Hospital's Operating Room Department has 9 theatres offering various services, including General, Trauma, Ortho Trauma, Obs/Gyne, Urology, Ortho, ENT, Neuro, Vascular, Major Plastics, Dental, and Laser cases. As an OR RN, you will have circulating and scrubbing duties while coordinating and overseeing the overall care of the patient.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses with the full range of current licensed practical nursing competencies.
  • Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Current CPR certification.
