About the Role

We have immediate openings for Winter Works Combo/Plow Operators at Miller Maintenance.

The winter maintenance season runs yearly from October until April, weather dependent.

As a member of our winter maintenance team, you will safely operate a combo plow unit, performing snow removal on local roads and highways as per the contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a combo plow unit to remove snow from local roads and highways
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
  • Familiarize yourself with route maps and sand/salt application rates
  • Meet call-in requirements during winter storm events

Requirements

  • DZ license with a clean driver's abstract required
  • Available to respond to call-ins within thirty minutes
  • Ability to operate a loader and perform other maintenance duties, such as patrolling, patching, and minor equipment maintenance
  • Ability to work assigned shifts and extended hours as winter events require
  • Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to drive manual transmission
  • Previous experience in winter-works operations
  • Mechanical knowledge, ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment as required
  • Good understanding of MTO standards and AMC Contract Performance Requirements
