Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Stocker to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Meat Stocker, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, assisting customers with their shopping needs, and ensuring that our meat and seafood products are properly stocked and displayed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Zones the department to ensure efficient stock rotation and customer flow.
  • Rotates stock and checks for expired products to maintain high-quality products for our customers.
  • Ensures merchandise is properly signed and priced to meet company standards.
  • Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
  • Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise and prepares merchandise, such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken, to meet customer requests.
  • Follows proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
  • Prepares deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers, stackers, and other utensils to meet customer requests.
  • Follows Health and Safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
