Job Description

We are looking for a talented Carpenter to work on various construction projects, including residential and commercial renovations. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. They will also be involved in building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, erecting walls and roof systems, fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years or more of experience in the field and hold certifications such as Carpenter Trade Certification, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) training, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) clearance Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Carpenter Red Seal Certificate, Fall Arrest Protection Training Course, Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate, and Confined Space Entry Training.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5 years or more of experience in carpentry
  • Certifications in PPE, WSIB, First Aid, CPR, WHMIS, Red Seal, Fall Arrest, CSTS, and Confined Space Entry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and with minimal supervision
