We're seeking a Field Engineer/Coordinator for our Saskatoon District, working in a dynamic environment. If you can picture yourself working with a team that enjoys tackling challenges while encouraging each other to succeed, then you belong at PCL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with updating drawings and specifications.
  • Document field records for quality, production, labor, and materials.
  • Assist with inventory and tracking time sheets, costs, and quantities.
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs.
  • Assist in monitoring the quality plan, including conducting quality inspections.
  • Conduct basic safety inspections and training, identify and correct safety hazards, and lead by example in safety practices and procedures.
  • Assist the project team with subtrade partner management, including managing requests for information, shop drawings, changes, and billings and workforce planning.
  • Assist with schedules and monitoring performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, architecture, trade, or a related field.
  • 0-1 years of progressive experience as a field coordinator is preferred.
  • Ability to learn and apply basic construction principles, specifications, and procedures.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders, including supervisors and subtrade partners.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
