Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Pathologist to join our team at Alberta Precision Laboratories Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing diseases and physiological disorders, conducting medical research, and supervising laboratory activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders through microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods
  • Supervise laboratory activities, including training resident pathologists and morgue attendants
  • Act as consultants to other physicians, ordering laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures
Requirements
  • Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC)
  • Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II)
  • Specialty residency training in pathology
  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with a large workload and tight deadlines. They will be required to work under pressure, with attention to detail and manual dexterity.
