Your Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Assurance to join our Assurance & Accounting team in Sarnia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Efficiently preparing year-end engagements and tax returns for clients in various industries.
- Preparing working papers and financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Building positive working relationships with clients and effectively responding to their requests and suggestions.
- Participating in business development initiatives and identifying new business opportunities with existing clients.
- Effectively communicating with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis.
Key Responsibilities
As a Manager, Assurance, you will be responsible for:
- Leading audit engagements and ensuring high-quality work is delivered to clients.
- Developing and implementing audit strategies to meet client needs.
- Providing guidance and support to junior team members.
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with audit engagements.
- Staying up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry developments.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A CPA designation (an asset).
- At least 3-4 years of audit experience in the public accounting industry.
- Experience working with non-profit clients and a willingness to develop further knowledge in this area.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- A team-oriented approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
