Firmware Validation Specialist

We are seeking a talented Firmware Validation Specialist to join our team at Synopsys, Inc. As a key member of our mixed-signal design team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and functionality of our high-performance digital designs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Write modular constrained-random Verilog and System Verilog testbenches to validate firmware components
  • Execute system-level tests and validation in a prototype environment to ensure design integrity
  • Perform functional coverage, assertion coverage, and code coverage to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex verification challenges and drive innovation
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and documentation to ensure transparency and accountability
Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience in writing test cases in Verilog and System Verilog
  • Basic understanding of assembly language programming and RISC processors
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python or Perl) and working in a Linux environment
  • Familiarity with VMM/UVM verification methodology and code quality metrics
  • Knowledge of high-speed digital and mixed-signal design is desired
  • Familiarity with version control systems (GIT/SVN/Perforce) is an asset
