MatrixHR is currently recruiting skilled Carpenter/Joiners for a long-standing Industrial Construction Company in Halifax NS. We are seeking candidates with experience in industrial carpentry and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities- Erect, dismantle, inspect, and certify various installations.
- Perform care and preservation work.
- Experience with Industrial and Commercial Carpentry scopes is a requirement.
- Provide a safe work environment, maintaining "Safety First" for your team.
- Work according to blueprints.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, steel, and other materials.
- Install windows, doors, feature walls/ceiling, etc.
- 5+ years of related Industrial carpentry experience.
- Self-starter with the ability to complete tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Work well independently and with others in a team environment.
- Ability to do shift work as required.
Candidates will be required to work at heights from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms; stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and climb and work in confined spaces and inclement weather and support extended hours and overtime as business needs dictate.
