We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Management Leader to join our team at New Flyer. This key position plays a vital role in directing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of our production departments.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring both long- and short-term goals are achieved through the implementation and completion of departmental and corporate objectives.

  • You will monitor the capacity of the production departments to ensure that equipment and resources meet requirements set out by the Master Schedule.
  • Ensure operational KPI's and OPEX are established, and objectives are met.
  • Report on departmental objectives and issues in Daily Operational Meetings.
  • Maintain operational budgets for each production department.
  • E nsure production areas follow all safety, health, and environment requirements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Coordinate operating departments to ensure a continual flow of product to meet internal and external requirements.
  • Promote Labour/Management relations through the settlement of issues and grievances.
  • Participate and promote Lean manufacturing activities.

**Requirements:**

  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline in operations management or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years' previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
