Job Summary

Bombardier is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to join our team at the Opa Locka Service Center. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Bombardier's General Work Requirements and environmental health, safety policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify, and service aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic equipment.
  • Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
  • Operate ground support equipment as required.
  • Assist with mechanical/electrical removals and installations.
  • Assist other maintenance disciplines and maintenance at off-site locations.
Requirements
  • Avionics electric A/C Technical School or equivalent experience.
  • Typically, 0-2 years avionics work experience or substantiated equivalent experience.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings.
  • Basic PC skills and the ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and aircraft status.
  • Own a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory and control of tools.
  • Must obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required.
  • Must be able to work unscheduled overtime, including non-scheduled workdays and holidays, and be able to work in seasonal and inclement weather outside.
  • Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) (if applicable).
  • A Certification if required by customer (Commercial Aircraft).
  • Airframe Certification, Powerplant Certification, or Airframe & Powerplant Certificate.
  • GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License) or AET (Aircraft Electronics Technician) Certificate.
  • Experience on corporate jet aircraft and commercial aircraft.
