Job Description

This is a senior role that requires a strong background in financial analysis, credit, and client acquisition relationship management. You will be working closely with our clients to understand their financial needs and develop tailored solutions to meet their goals.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Applying your business development experience to prospect and lead generate new and existing clients
  • Demonstrating portfolio management and risk mitigation through the review of financial statements, identifying trends, monitoring risk, and assessing for credit restructuring
  • Providing an exceptional client experience by delivering superior business and financial advice
  • Leveraging the expertise of RBC by identifying referral opportunities, making introductions, and referring clients to RBC partners
  • Collaborating and coordinating with various teams to develop and execute a client contact strategy
  • Championing digital enablement by becoming an advocate of the RBC mobile application and wallet, promoting regular usage, and educating clients on how to use it
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in commercial lending, preferably with previous banking experience in a relationship management role
  • A post-secondary diploma/degree, ideally in commerce or business administration, or related experience
  • Demonstrated success in a business development role, especially with respect to the acquisition of new clients, prospecting, and cold calling
  • Financial statement review and computer modeling and analysis experience
  • Experience with emerging communications and technology, such as web-based meetings, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications
