We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our team at Ikendale Farms Ltd. as a key member of our farm operations team.
Key Responsibilities- Animal Health and Welfare
- Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of livestock, ensuring their safety and welfare at all times.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise and coordinate the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Operational Efficiency
- Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Maintain quality control and production records, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
- Equipment Maintenance
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and performing at optimal levels.
- Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date work records and logs, providing valuable insights into farm operations and performance.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the agricultural industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement improvements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on agriculture or a related field.
