Veterinary Support Technician, RVT, Animal Care Team Member

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician, RVT to join our team at Birchmount Animal Hospital. As a key member of our animal care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our veterinarians and other staff members.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, patient preparation, and recovery
- Conduct laboratory tests, take X-rays, and perform other diagnostic procedures
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and other treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Provide compassionate care and support to hospitalized patients and their owners
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless patient care and a positive hospital experience
Requirements
- Completion of a Veterinary Technician program and eligibility to register in Ontario
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for animal care and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes
