Fish and Shellfish Processing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Fish and Shellfish Processing Specialist to join our team at Big Lobster Seafood Incorporated. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and preparing fish and shellfish for marketing or further processing.
Key Responsibilities- Cut, clean, and trim fish or seafood prior to marketing or further processing
- Unload fish and shellfish from fishing vessels and transport them by hand to the work area
- Scrape away scales, cut fish, separate fillets, and remove scrap parts using a knife
- Disjoint and remove meat from lobsters or other crustaceans preparatory to canning or further processing
- Clean machines and immediate work areas
The successful candidate will work in a noisy, odorous, dusty, hot, cold/refrigerated, and wet/damp environment. They will be required to relocate for this position and be willing to work in a physically demanding role.
Requirements- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Ability to work in a team environment and have efficient interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and reliability
- Free parking available
- 35 to 40 hours per week
- Permanent employment
- English as the primary language of work
