Maintenance Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Rodan Energy Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance strategies and work programs related to human performance, predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance of plant systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of maintenance work programs, including strategic work programs and business plans.
  • Assist in the analysis of maintenance program performance and implementation of new or revised techniques, methods, technology, and equipment.
  • Monitor performance in terms of progress and schedule, and discuss concerns with Manager and pertinent stakeholders.
  • Identify, analyze, and prioritize deficiencies in maintenance procedures and standards.
  • Carry out plant tours to assess procedures and standards, and implement 'on-the-spot' correction and initiate a Station Condition Record (SCR) as necessary.
  • Advise line management on long-term performance management issues and provide support and advice in managing issues that negatively impact unit output.
  • Facilitate communications within the Maintenance organization, including business plans, training, performance measures, and redeployment.
  • Prepare plans for deployment of staff within the Maintenance organization and assignment to other work groups and projects.
  • Perform contract administration/co-ordination duties and exercise authority to stop unsafe work practices at work sites.
  • Act as a project team leader for various maintenance work programs related to predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance of plant systems and equipment.
Qualifications:

The successful candidate will require a knowledge of control, mechanical, or civil technology sufficient to understand the assembly, function, operation, and mechanics of applicable equipment, systems, and materials. A knowledge of mathematics to perform practical calculations and precision measurements is also required. Additionally, the candidate will need to have a knowledge of English, both written and oral, to document maintenance procedures, experiences, and practices in a clear and concise manner, prepare reports, and facilitate effective communications with others.
