Job Title: Student Optician - Newmarket, ON - Pearle Vision

About the Role

As a Student Optician at Pearle Vision, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a positive shopping experience. You will work closely with our team to provide expert advice on eyewear, ensure accurate fitting and adjustments, and maintain the highest standards of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

* Greets customers promptly and provides a personalized shopping experience
* Determines the reason for the customer's visit and offers guidance on Pearle Vision products and services
* Performs work accurately and thoroughly, despite time pressure and customer volume
* Identifies and resolves customer issues promptly, focusing on solutions rather than problems
* Educates customers on eyewear care, adjustments, and follow-up services
* Under the guidance of an Optician, takes and records measurements, fits and adjusts eyewear, and ensures finished products meet Pearle Vision's optical standards

Requirements

* High School Graduate or equivalent
* Registration in State licensure program (where applicable) or equivalent schooling
* Previous optical and retail experience
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Basic math skills
* Knowledge of current fashion trends

Preferred Qualifications

* Prior sales training
