CNC Operations Specialist - Plainsman Mfg. Inc.

Join our CNC Operations team at Plainsman Mfg. Inc., where you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our CNC machining equipment. This is a key role that requires a strong understanding of CNC programming and control operations, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:Machine Operation:
  • Operate CNC lathes and mills to produce high-quality parts.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machining equipment.
Machine Programming:
  • Program and set up CNC machines for production runs.
  • Troubleshoot and improve existing CNC programs.
Machine Setup:
  • Set up machines for production runs, ensuring accurate and efficient operation.
Quality of Work:
  • Produce high-quality parts that meet customer specifications.
  • Adhere to Plainsman Mfg. Inc.'s quality standards and procedures.
Safety:
  • Familiarize yourself with and adhere to Plainsman Mfg. Inc.'s safety program.
Secondary Responsibilities:

As a CNC Operations Specialist, you may be asked to perform additional tasks, such as cleaning and deburring parts, emptying chip bins, and disposing of waste/oil coolant appropriately. You will also be expected to maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles.

Please note that these responsibilities are in addition to your primary duties as a CNC Operations Specialist.

Applicants should have a strong background in CNC machining and a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience working in a manufacturing environment and a background in CNC programming and control operations.
