Job Summary:
The Physiotherapist is a vital member of The EMP's interdisciplinary team, responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients and families. This role involves coordinating and providing care within the scope of practice, promoting, maintaining, and/or restoring functional performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
- Design and implement evidence-based interventions to promote functional performance and independence.
- Provide education and support to patients and families to promote self-management and empowerment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community services and resources to ensure seamless care transitions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor and/or Master's Degree of Science in Physiotherapy or an equivalent.
- Registration and membership in good standing with the College of Physiotherapist of New Brunswick and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
- Knowledge of the target population of Extra-Mural Services and available community services.
- Valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License and good driving record (proof required).
- Current CPR Level C certification issued within the last 12 months or prepared to obtain within 3 months.
- Ability to work efficiently as a member of the team, possess leadership and coaching skills, strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record.
- High regard for confidentiality.
- Excellent work habits and professional appearance.
