This Opportunity:
Durham College is seeking a contract IT Project Manager (PM) in the IT Services department. Reporting to the Director, ICT Infrastructure, the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing IT infrastructure projects. Information Technology Services (IT Services) is the central IT division of Durham College – providing shared IT services to both the college and Ontario Tech (Ontario Tech University).
This role works 40 hours per week and will be paid $115,000 annually. The contract IT PM will be responsible for managing major IT infrastructure projects, including a cloud-based initiative related to Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure roadmap, telecommunication and network related projects. Experience in this space is a must for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage major IT infrastructure projects, including cloud-based initiatives and telecommunication and network related projects.
- Oversee IT infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
- Develop and implement project plans, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of IT project management experience.
- Minimum 12 years of progressive work experience in the IT sector.
- Minimum 7 years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects in an enterprise environment.
- Relevant four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Formal Project Management training, PMI certification, or equivalent.
- Experience procuring information technology and information technology services.
