As the Executive Director for LHH Knightsbridge for Threads of Life, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and programming of the organization. Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will plan, direct, and coordinate all functions, including human resources management, fiscal management, volunteer and donor development, and outreach.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement the strategic plan and annual business plan, ensuring alignment with the organization's vision, mission, and values.
- Relationship Building: Foster relationships with volunteers, funders, partners, and other stakeholders to further the organization's goals and objectives.
- Membership and Fundraising: Develop a sustainable membership structure and secure funding streams to ensure the sustainability of the organization's programs.
- Communication and Representation: Act as ambassador and spokesperson for the organization, establishing a regular communication link between management and the Board of Directors.
- Operations and Management: Manage the overall operations of the organization, including its staff, and ensure financial accountability through annual budgets and regular financial reports.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a non-profit leadership position, including experience working closely with a Board of Directors.
- Skills: Well-developed empathy and ability to deal with sensitive information and family members in crisis, exceptional relationship-building experience, and strong leadership and management skills.
- Language: Excellent communication skills in oral and written English, and French language skill is considered an asset.
