Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Roofing Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will assist our experienced roofers in various aspects of construction, including loading and unloading materials, mixing and applying roofing materials, and assisting with framing and roofing tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials, such as roofing shingles, tiles, and other materials, from trucks and storage areas.
  • Mixing and Applying Roofing Materials: Assist in mixing and applying roofing materials, such as concrete and asphalt, to ensure a smooth and even finish.
  • Assisting with Framing and Roofing Tasks: Assist experienced roofers with framing and roofing tasks, including erecting walls and building roofs.
  • Cleaning and Piling Salvaged Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials, such as roofing shingles and tiles, for reuse or recycling.
  • Removing Rubble and Debris: Remove rubble and debris from construction sites to ensure a safe and clean working environment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • 1 Year to Less than 2 Years of Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is required.
  • Physical Ability: The ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment is required.
  • Good Communication Skills: Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
