Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $45,000 to $55,000 per year, with a competitive benefits package including extended health care, on-site parking, and RRSP match.

Job Description

This role involves maintaining outstanding receivable balances at appropriate levels, performing customer calls, posting daily deposits, and identifying problem accounts. The ideal candidate will have at least one-year accounts receivable and collections experience, strong time management and organizational skills, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform customer calls to ensure timely payments of outstanding receivables.
  • Post daily deposits, including cheques, EFTs, and credit card transactions.
  • Conduct customer account reconciliations.
  • Respond to customer inquiries.
  • Identify problem accounts and escalate collection action.
  • Assist with monthly statements to customers.
  • Open new customer accounts and maintain existing accounts.
  • Initiate and respond to enquiries and requests from other departments and customers to resolve problems, identify discrepancies, and explain relevant policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one-year experience with accounts receivable and collections.
  • An intermediate level of MS Office.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize.
  • A self-starter mentality, with a highly motivated and professional team player attitude.
  • Solid customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Initiative and a willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
  • A proven commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
  • An excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Location and Work Environment

This role is based in Surrey, with an 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday. You will work on-site and enjoy a positive and fun work environment, with casual dress, on-site parking, and a competitive compensation package.
