Position Overview:

Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (La commission scolaire du Nunavik) is seeking a qualified Carpentry Instructor to join our team in Inukjuak. As a Carpentry Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching carpentry skills to adult students in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver lesson plans to adult students in carpentry
• Assess student progress and provide feedback
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment
• Collaborate with other instructors to develop curriculum

Requirements:

• Brevet d'enseignement or a teaching permit from the province of Quebec or from a Canadian province
• Relevant training as well as a minimum of 5 years recent experience in the industry
• Competency card
• Vocational training diploma in carpentry

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fluency in two (2) of the three (3) official languages of KI (Inuktitut, English and French)
• Experience in adult education, and
• Experience in multi-level classes
