Job Title: Construction Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at Summa Architectural & Structural Metal Inc.

Job Summary:

The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects from start to finish. This includes managing budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning: Develop and implement project plans, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of construction professionals, including engineers, architects, and contractors.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve project-related issues, including conflicts, delays, and budget overruns.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all construction work meets the required quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field, such as construction management, engineering, or architecture.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in construction project management.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Work Environment:

The Construction Project Manager will work in an office environment, with regular site visits to construction sites.

Computer and Technology Knowledge:
  • AutoCAD: Proficient in using AutoCAD software for design and drafting.
  • MS Excel: Skilled in using MS Excel for budgeting, scheduling, and data analysis.
  • MS Office: Proficient in using MS Office software, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Personal Suitability:
  • Judgement: Strong judgement and decision-making skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Organized: Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
