Job Description:

The Director of Data Analytics and Next Gen Delivery will be at the forefront of driving innovation and growth within our organization. This role will oversee the development and implementation of AltaGas' cutting-edge data analytics, intelligent automation, and artificial intelligence (AI) strategies and solutions.

You will lead and mentor a team of data scientists, analysts, developers, and automation specialists. You will foster a culture of innovation, driving the adoption and integration of AI technologies to solve complex business problems.

This position will play a critical role in delivering solutions using a hub-and-spoke model, pioneering new ways to optimize our operations. You will influence the entire corporation to adopt innovative practices and embrace doing business differently, positioning us at the forefront of industry transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data analytics, intelligent automation, and AI strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, analysts, developers, and automation specialists.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, driving the adoption and integration of AI technologies.
  • Establish and maintain data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements and automation.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact and benefit of data analytics and automation initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in AI and automation, evaluating their potential impact on the organization.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of data analytics and automation projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data analytics, AI, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools, machine learning frameworks, and automation platforms.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of driving innovation and change.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a deep understanding of data modeling, statistical analysis, and AI techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects, with a focus on delivering results on time and within budget.
