Mobile Game Artist: Craft Visually Stunning Worlds

Tier 9 Game Studios is an innovative mobile games company focused on creating industry-changing gacha games. Our current game, Auto Battles Online, has over a million users and counting.

We're seeking a talented 2D Game Artist to join our creative team and help bring the worlds we create to life. As a key member of our design process, you will play a pivotal role in the creation of characters, environments, props, and assets that are critical to the visual appeal and identity of our ongoing and in-development projects.

Your skills, judgment, and creative insight will drive the aesthetic direction of our games, ensuring they stand out in a competitive market and resonate deeply with our player community. We're also working on a brand new game, a 2D mobile mmorpg, for which you will be a core content artist.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conceptualizing, designing, and creating characters, environments, props, and UI assets that align with the game's themes, mechanics, and visual goals
  • Generating high-quality art assets for promotional materials, marketing campaigns, and in-game events to build community excitement
  • Collaborating closely with game designers and other artists to deliver cohesive and visually stunning game content
  • Contributing to the development of the game's art style, establishing style guides, and maintaining consistency throughout all visual elements

A strong portfolio of 2D background paintings, character designs, and prop art is required. Proficiency in digital art software such as Adobe Photoshop or Clip Studio Paint is also essential. Additionally, an understanding of RPG and gacha-style mobile game mechanics and their unique visual requirements is necessary.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, an eye for detail and quality, and a positive attitude. Experience working on gaming projects with a focus on mobile games is highly valued. Knowledge of animation principles, 2D animation, and/or visual effects (VFX) is a plus.
