About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Developer to join our team at Ford Motor Company. As a key member of our BSP and Driver Development Team, you will be responsible for designing and developing Bootloaders and BSP for our next-generation vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop Bootloaders and BSP for Linux and QNX operating systems
  • Develop and implement secure bootloaders and hardware security modules
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring up new hardware modules
  • Develop and maintain C and assembly language code
  • Work with electronic schematics and debugging tools like JTAG and oscilloscope/logic analyzer
  • Develop and implement custom bootloaders
  • Experience with version control tools like SVN and Git
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field of study
  • 8+ years of experience in BSP and bootloader design and development
  • Proven experience in C and assembly language development
  • Experience with ARM processors (A series, M series) and SHE specification
  • Experience with Hardware Security Module (HSM) or other SHE-based hardware security modules
  • Experience with eMMC, NAND, and NOR memory controllers
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Preferred Requirements
  • Knowledge of embedded OS (Linux, QNX)
  • Experience with driver development (UART, I2C, SPI, CAN/CAN FD)
  • Experience with cryptographic algorithms (RSA, DES, AES, SHA-1)
  • Experience with version control tools like SVN and Git
