We are seeking a skilled Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Giant Tiger in Greenfield Park. As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and contributing to a positive store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Operate electronic cash registers, mainline systems, and self-checkouts accurately and efficiently.
  • Replenish merchandise around checkout areas, ensuring a well-stocked and visually appealing store.
  • Follow up on hot selling items, complete markdowns, and update SKU changes as needed.
  • Maintain planograms, labels, tickets, and signing standards to ensure a cohesive store appearance.
  • Perform cycle counts, as required, to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with policies related to tobacco and lottery sales, as well as health and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced retail environment, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.

Working Conditions:

The Store Associate role involves working in a fast-paced retail environment, with regular interaction with customers and colleagues. The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, and lifting up to 18 kg (40 lbs.), as well as performing repetitive tasks requiring a range of hand motions.
