Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Public Health Nurse to join our team in North Vancouver, BC.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, promoting the health and well-being of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize public health nursing knowledge and expertise to promote and protect the optimal health, well-being, and safety of prenatal, infants, young children, youth, adults, and families at all ages and life stages.
  • Provide a full continuum of services, including prevention, health promotion, and early intervention services, to individuals and groups in a variety of community-based settings.
  • Establish and maintain interdisciplinary and community relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Identify clients as individuals, communities, or systems and determine necessary interventions using a continuum of public health nursing interventions.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Completion of specialty nursing certificate, BCCDC immunization certificate, and/or STI, as applicable, and two (2) years' recent, related public health nursing experience.
  • Valid BC Driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of a contraceptive management certificate.
  • Experience working with the Child and Youth (5 to 18 years) population.
