We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Investment Banking Manager to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement client and product strategies to drive growth and revenue in the FIG/sponsor coverage Canada franchise.
- Support the growth of a selective portfolio of Large Cap Corporate accounts, identifying new business opportunities and developing relationships with key stakeholders.
- Drive deal flow through personal relationships and introductions between SG delegates and clients, leveraging your expertise in financial markets and products.
- Collaborate with business line product specialists to deliver client initiatives, ensuring seamless execution and excellent client outcomes.
- Track and manage live deals and pitches, providing regular updates and analysis to stakeholders.
- Prepare and present business cases, client profitability analysis, and other supporting materials to senior management and clients.
- Conduct profitability analysis and advanced Excel modeling to support transactional decisions.
- Develop and maintain client profiles, identifying key drivers of business and opportunities for growth.
- Conduct special sector studies and research to inform business development and client engagement strategies.
- Communicate with clients to gather and update Know Your Client documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present client presentations, leveraging your expertise in financial markets and products.
- Collect and analyze corporate finance data to inform business development and client engagement strategies.
- Travel as needed to attend industry presentations and client meetings, representing SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA with professionalism and expertise.
- Strong written and verbal presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent financial accounting and corporate finance skills, with a strong understanding of financial markets and products.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create complex financial models and presentations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- 6-8 years of prior work experience in investment banking, corporate banking, corporate finance, transaction services, asset management, or consulting.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
- Proficiency in computer-based research tools, including Bloomberg, Capital IQ, and Thomson Reuters.
- Knowledge of bank products, with a strong understanding of financial markets and instruments.
- Strong personal drive and self-motivation, with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
English is the primary language of communication for this role, with the ability to communicate fluently and effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. French language skills are also highly valued, with the ability to communicate in both languages.
