Job Summary

Brandt is seeking a highly skilled Service Manager to lead our Trochu Agriculture (John Deere) location. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the sales and delivery of after-market support services for heavy duty equipment, including component diagnostics, repair, and replacement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Workflow Management
  • Enforce adherence to established standards, policies, and reporting practices to ensure operational excellence.
  • Develop and manage the Service Department budget to meet financial and operational goals.
  • Prepare quotes for customer work orders and manage the opening and closing of work orders.
  • Inspect and operate customer equipment to resolve concerns and diagnose issues.
  • Monitor service revenue and expenses on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with established safety and industry standards.
  • Review employee performance against goals on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain a high-performing Service team through hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, and performance management in a safe environment.
Requirements
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers, employees, and branch personnel at all levels.
  • Self-motivated in learning and applying new knowledge and skills, with a willingness to share knowledge with others.
  • Able to travel to customer worksites and operate and work on or around heavy equipment as required.
  • Proficient in using work-related desktop applications and web-based productivity applications.
  • Confident, critical thinking, knowledge, and technical skills to assess and solve customer, business, and personnel problems effectively and efficiently.
  • A recent driver's abstract will be required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to occupational health and safety.
  • 5-7 years' progressive experience in service, management, and business, including journeyperson heavy duty mechanic experience and 3 years' management/supervisory experience in the heavy duty equipment industry.
  • Solid foundation of knowledge and skill in the operation of a heavy duty equipment dealership.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize work, set priorities, and achieve work-related objectives and goals.
  • Strong customer service orientation and sound judgment when dealing with customers.
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers, employees, and branch personnel at all levels.
