Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team. As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide personal care and support to clients in their daily activities and personal hygiene, promoting their physical, social, and emotional well-being in a safe and respectful manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to clients in their daily activities and personal hygiene
  • Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and positioning
  • Support clients with their nutritional needs, including meal preparation and feeding
  • Assist clients with their personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalent
  • Experience in long term care setting an asset
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take initiative, problem solve, and time manage
  • Ability to work independently as well as be an active, positive team player
  • Computer literacy
  • Shift work, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Ability to speak and converse in Chinese an asset
